Jacquelyn Stroffolino
Westchester/Putnam Youth Symphony
Junior Symphony (grades 5-8)

Mrs. Jacquelyn Stroffolino received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degress from the State University of New York College at Fredonia.
Mrs. Stroffolino teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade orchestra as well as 6th grade chorus and general music at John Jay Middle School in the Katonah-Lewisboro School District. Throughout her last two years teaching in Katonah, Mrs. Stroffolino has worked to reinvigorate the orchestra program at John Jay Middle School, increasing retention rates and creating new opportunities for students with an after school chamber orchestra. Mrs. Stroffolino also served as Chairperson for the Intermediate All-County Orchestra in Westchester during the 2014-2015 school year. Mrs. Stroffolino currently holds professional memberships in the New York State School Music Association and the National Association for Music Education.
In addition to being a passionate educator, Mrs. Stroffolino is also an avid cook and baker. She enjoys cake decorating and trying new recipes in her free time. Mrs. Stroffolino strives to instill a lifelong love of music in each student. She looks forward to fostering this love of music in the students in the Primaire Players and looks forward to combining the students’ passion with excellence in performance to create a meaningful and exciting year of music making.

Kathleen Coletta 
Westchester/Putnam Youth Symphony
Senior Symphony (grades 9-12)

Ms. Kathleen Coletta has conducted the WPYS Junior Symphony since September 2013 and will be directing the Senior Symphony as of the Fall of 2016.  A classically trained violinist, she holds degrees in violin performance from Purchase College, (SUNY), and in music education from Manhattanville College. She has also completed post-graduate studies in music education through Boston University. Currently, she teaches orchestra at a high school in Westchester County and freelances as a violinist in the area.

Ms. Coletta has performed with local orchestras in the Tri-State Area and international credits include both chamber music and orchestral music in China, Italy, Ireland, and Spain. She is a Past President of the Westchester County School Music Association, where she has served as an active member of the Board of Directors since 2008. She also holds membership in the New York State School Music Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the American String Teachers Association.

Her approach to teaching is one that values the process over the product. She strives to combine excellence in performance with a love for music making. It is her goal to get the maximum potential out of each and every musician while providing a fun, light-hearted atmosphere that encourages mutual learning.
